A very solid, and in excellent condition for its age, flat top blanket chest. Dating from the 1800's, currently in the bare wood having recently been stripped of its original paint.
The original lock and key are in good working order, as are the side carrying handles and the strap hinges to the lid. Inside the chest you will find the original candle box, typical of chest's of this time.
The flat top makes this a good alternative to a coffee table, or shoe storage box bench, or even as a window seat.
